New items-vintage bags and kitsch jewellery!

I'm very excited to introduce our two newest designers, Lost in the Forest and LaurasJewellery.

Lost in the Forest '...create(s) wearable art and accessories, inspired by times gone by, tea parties, walks in the countryside, castles, fairy tales, love stories and the forest.'
This includes gorgeous purses created using vintage fabrics, such as this pretty piece, called Doris, which is embellished with a vintage lace doily.

As all of Lost in the Forests' designs are created using vintage fabrics they are all one-of-a kind pieces. The Oriental Magpie is very proud to be stocking 4 of her original designs-this is the only place in the whole world you can buy them!

She also makes very pretty accessories, such as this heart shaped brooch made from collaged pages of an book and framed with a row of vintage diamanté to add a bit of sparkle.

The purses are £15 each and the brooch is £6.

Our second newest designer is LaurasJewellery, who makes a mix of kitsch and vintage jewellery, including...

Pretty vintage carousel necklace, £10.

Cute devil rubber duck earrings, £8 a pair (in a choice of 5 colours)

and 1950s style flamingo cameo necklaces, £10

New goodies for this week!

Since our last post, we have signed up some new designers in the shape of 'Hungry Designs' and 'All Things Pretty'.

Hungry Designs is run by the lovely Amanda-she also makes scrummy looking cakes and sweets, but sadly we don't have any of those :(
We do however have these delicious looking laser cut wooden brooches in a choice of 3 designs; butterflies, birds and carnival/fun fair tickets.

They truly are fabulous-very detailed and realistic designs, they look perfect on a cardigan, jacket or bag. What's more they are only £6.00 each, so if you can decide which to choose you can buy more than one without feeling too guilty!

'All Things Pretty', is run by Becky, who makes gorgeous one-off glass bracelets, using a mix of Indian glass, wooden, plastic, Millefiore and glass beads.

They are really pretty pieces that really do look good enough to eat.
This one is aptly named 'Sweetie Time'- you can see why! Perfect bright colours so you can still look summery, even if the weather has other ideas!

If you are after something a bit more 'demure,' how about this lovely green and brown glass beaded bracelet called 'Flower garden.' Prices for 'All Things Pretty' range between £3.00 and £7.00 and all of her pieces come in an organza bag with a special handmade label, so they are perfect pieces to buy as gifts.

I have just returned from a soggy weekend on the Gower (so much for the summer!) to find two packets of beautiful jewellery and handmade vintage bags, which will be added to the site over the course of the week, so keep your eyes peeled!
